I found out that I needed an extra motivational factor concerning the training, so I decided to find out how much the body can change in 184 days!
Inspired by the shows on MTV where you see they have a countdown calendar for 100days to loose bodyweight or something in that direction, and also by the fact that I like to get questions answered :)
"So why don't do a little experiment with your own body!?" my brain asked me! (just like that! :P)
The countdown started the 01.03.2013
- taking away one note everyday!
My goals this period: Simply: bigger, better, faster, stronger! (Or yeah!! Wish it was simple! But it's certainly not!)
1. Get the best physics I ever had!!
- decrease in fat percentage
- increase in muscle mass (especially shoulders and width of back)
- good proportions
2. Stronger
- mentally
- physically
3. Faster
- improve my time on 3000m
4. Not get sick or injured
- here rest, build up of the training program and technique during training plays a big factor! This is so important that I think it has to be a goal in itself! Of course to be sick or not is something you can't really decide, BUT there are some things you can do to prevent it as good as possible ;)
For everyday that goes, I need to have done at least ONE thing to make me come closer to my goals. By looking at my calendar everyday, it will simply remind me of the journey I have chosen.
- Training
Do my absolute best every training session.
- Diet
Stick to the diet, and only have one cheat day each week. Where it's also important to not go too wild on the cheat days
The diet can in my eyes be considered the most difficult part in this type of regimen, it sticks to your mind every hour you're awake, even sometimes also in your dreams!!! In contrast to the training, where you have to give it all in 1-2 hours in total of the day.
- Rest
Get 8 hours of sleep every night, and also a power nap in the day if its needed.
And also listen to my body and give it rest when it wants it! - this one is also something I struggle to follow! But it's important to see that restitution is one of the most important parts of the training! Without adequate restitution, you are actually doing the opposite of what you want! - you will destroy the body instead of building it up!
- Motivation
To always stay motivated is NOT easy! Some days you really just want to stay in bed, or eat a ton of chocolate.
But one of my favorite quotes then is: "Never trade what you want the most for what you want at the moment"
- take pictures, measures, and note how you feel for every day that goes - so you have something to look back on when you feel the motivation go for a ride!
Have a positive state of mind!!!
It's important to be consistent, and not loose the path!
Wish me good luck! Me myself are at least exited to see where this can lead! :))
Have a nice weekend! Tonight it's time to watch Arnold Classic (thats what I call a boost in the motivation! ;)
